Clay Prewitt is quickly becoming one of the region’s fine songwriters, and he has surrounded himself with good talent. He is the kind of fella I would tell my friends to keep an eye out for, so keep that in mind and keep an eye out for him and his band, the Sundowners. While you’re keeping your eye out, use your ears to give the podcast a listen and see what your intrepid hosts and their talented guest had to say about a range of topics. Hope you enjoy.

Lance Williams is a fella from Elizabethton who keeps himself busy. He owns and runs a couple of businesses, teaches guitar lessons, plays in more than a couple of musical projects, and always seems to have his hand in something. He does a great job with ACME Music in Elizabethton, and is always open to trading with good folks, and setting kids up with instruments and music to get them started. We had him on the podcast to talk about what is going on these days, and enjoyed the time.
Hope you do as well. He’s playing guitar on the tunes on this week’s show, so give it a listen.
Note: We thought this was the 48th podcast, but it turns out that we were working on number 47. Just sayin’.Â

Mark Mahoney and Michael Peck are two guys with a lot of electronic equipment, spare time, and talent. They have utilized that spare time to create vast soundscapes and epic songs that create both ambient background and challenging composition. We had them on the show this past week to talk about the upcoming Electro-Music Festival in Kingsport, and to let us know what was up with their ongoing search for sound.
This is their story.

After last week’s heat, I really wanted to see some rain come through and cool things down. I just didn’t want or expect as much as we got, and I’m glad it cleared up as it did.
Gary Hensley was our second outdoor guest, and reminisced about his Twilight Alive experience, as well as many others. He’s got a top-notch young band, and he shared stories, songs, and a few laughs with the three amigos (Welcome back, Thomas!). We had a good bit of fun - hope you do, too.

We are now outdoors with the podcast! We are amongst the people, out in the streets, and burning up. Man is it hot out there.
Since it was hot, we had cool guests for the first of our outdoor excursions. The boys from Wolf Creek stopped in and gave us a fine interview, drank a beer or two, and had a blast. Ed, Jim, Kevin, and Jason have been playing great music for years, and now they are doing it together (With Robbie Stevens, who was unable to join us.), and doing it very well. We were very happy to have them on the program, so give it a listen and let us know what you think.
Tom was not with us this week, and he was sorely missed. Hopefully we will have him back next week - it just ain’t the same without him there.

Drywell doesn’t play as often as they used to, so it’s a real treat to catch them when they do. Folks will have a chance to see them this weekend, and we really appreciated them letting us help promote the show by coming on the podcast. Bassist Jeremiah Waldo represented the band and joined us for a spirited discussion of all things musical and current - and he got rather serious at times. Well worth the listen, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
