BuzzCutz #038 - The Parallelogram Episode

RODBrock Hughston was our guest on the show this week, and was the first guest with an electronic music background to grace the studio.  He will be performing with his band Remnants of Dissonance, at this year’s Electronic Music Showcase in Kingsport, along with Mahoney and Peck and a plethora of others.  Brock has a lot going on, and has been involved in several projects over the last several years, and it was a lot of fun to sit and talk to him about what he has done, and what he is doing.

Give it a listen.

Buzzcutz #037 - The Double Trouble Episode

Ole’ Jared went to the beach last week and Dave and Tom do the duo this week with the Double Trouble Episode.

Trouble it was too. Dave needs to hone up on his recording skiils because Steve Bailey with Sound Check music was nice enough to come down and talk for a while, but Dave screwed up the episode on the first go-round, and we didn’t get the audio.

Nevertheless, Dave and Tom dive right into this week’s news and musical details with reviews of last week’s Twilight Alive with the ungodly talented tuba player, a review of Clinchfest, July 4th, Anyfest and a gang-bang of other topics.

BuzzCutz #036 - The Wetter Than Hell Episode

garyhensleyAfter last week’s heat, I really wanted to see some rain come through and cool things down.  I just didn’t want or expect as much as we got, and I’m glad it cleared up as it did.

Gary Hensley was our second outdoor guest, and reminisced about his Twilight Alive experience, as well as many others.  He’s got a top-notch young band, and he shared stories, songs, and a few laughs with the three amigos (Welcome back, Thomas!).  We had a good bit of fun - hope you do, too.

BuzzCutz #035 - The Hotter than Hell Episode

wolfcreek

We are now outdoors with the podcast! We are amongst the people, out in the streets, and burning up. Man is it hot out there.

Since it was hot, we had cool guests for the first of our outdoor excursions. The boys from Wolf Creek stopped in and gave us a fine interview, drank a beer or two, and had a blast. Ed, Jim, Kevin, and Jason have been playing great music for years, and now they are doing it together (With Robbie Stevens, who was unable to join us.), and doing it very well. We were very happy to have them on the program, so give it a listen and let us know what you think.

Tom was not with us this week, and he was sorely missed.  Hopefully we will have him back next week - it just ain’t the same without him there.
